About the Concert

Tickets for this event will be available from 12.06.2024 from 10 am.

With our new concert format "Best of Classical Music", you can immerse yourself in the most famous works of classical music. With a presentation at the beginning, we briefly introduce the work and provide listening tips. You can then enjoy the symphony we have selected in a short concert. Afterwards, we will be happy to welcome you at the bar in the Kulturpalast. Here, our moderator will enter into conversation with the conductor on a small stage in the room. There is no musicology on the agenda - Malte would rather take us into the personal world of our respective guests. Relax and listen to exciting insights from the world of classical music over a glass of wine.

About the concert:

Twenty woodwinds, eight horns, five trumpets, three trombones, two bass tubas, five timpani and large percussion section alone would be enough to fill an entire soccer stadium with sound! In Stravinsky's "Sacre du printemps", the strings are added to the mix. But not to make noise, but to play one of the most famous ballet scores of the 20th century. At the premiere in 1913, the audience was outraged and left the hall with boos. A scandal at the time, the piece is now an integral part of the concert hall.
