About the Concert

Erich Kästner's "The Flying Classroom" is one of the most beautiful stories about friendship, courage and the dream of traveling to foreign lands. In our concert, you will experience individual scenes from the novel by the Dresden author, musically commented with excerpts from highlights of the orchestral literature. Accompany the young musicians on an exciting journey! The Dresden Youth Symphony Orchestra has been playing together with its mentors from the ranks of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra since 2006.
