Today, the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra is really going to make some noise. Centuries ago, during big celebrations, a proper fireworks display was set off. This was also the case in April 1749, when the British King George II, who hailed from Hanover, organized a grand peace festival. Georg Friedrich Handel composed music for the occasion, which is still popular today because it puts everyone in a good mood. One can only hope that the little Philharmonic Orchestra doesn't get any silly ideas, or does it? Daniel will have a lot to do this morning. But don't worry! The fire department is always present at every concert in the Kulturpalast.

Being born in Dresden and a member of the famous Dresden Kreuzchor in his childhood and youth, Hans-Christoph Rademann grew up with the great Central German cantorial and musical tradition and decided to study choral and orchestral conducting. During his studies, he founded the Dresdner Kammerchor, which he formed into an internationally acclaimed top choir and still leads today. After holding leading positions with the NDR Chor and the RIAS Kammerchor, he has been the Director of the International Bach Academy Stuttgart since 2013 and the Artistic Director of the Musikfest Erzgebirge since 2008.
As the Dresden Philharmonic's music educator, Daniel Haupt is on stage at many concerts as a presenter or speaker and/or is involved in program planning behind the scenes. After studying the flute in Leipzig and London, he initially worked as an orchestral musician and soloist. However, he had already become increasingly involved in the field of music education during his studies and later complemented his professional training with a degree in cultural and media management.
Her main goal is to present musical education in a lively way and to inspire children in particular for the world of classical music: Victoria Esper often works as a speaker and presenter and helped develop the fantasy character Phili for the concert series “phil zu entdecken” for the Dresden Philharmonic. She has a degree in singing and has also worked as a cultural manager in recent years. In her free time, she is committed to social interaction and media literacy for children.
Michael Kube is a passionate music educator and has been conceiving the school and family concert series "phil zu entdecken" for the Dresden Philharmonic since the 2015/16 season. He also works as an editor and consultant, is a juror for the Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik, and a university lecturer in music history, musicology and music education.
That is the claim of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra stands for concerts at the highest artistic level, musical education for all ages and looking beyond the musical horizon. Guest performances on almost every continent and collaborations with guests from all over the world have established the reputation of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra in the international classical music world.
