Ann Petersen

The internationally renowned soprano Ann Petersen has made a name for herself primarily through her roles in the German repertoire of R. Wagner and R. Strauss. She has sung at numerous major opera houses, including the Vienna State Opera, the Berlin State Opera, the Royal Opera House Covent Garden, the Teatro alla Scala di Milano, the Teatro Colôn de Buenos Aires, the Opéra National de Paris, the Teatro Real de Madrid, the Festspielhaus Baden-Baden and the Bolshoi Theater Moscow.

CURRENT AND FUTURE ENGAGEMENTS

Ann Petersen's recent engagements include (among others):

- Salome with Claus Gut and Sokhiev at the Bolshoi Theatre (Feb., Mar. and May 2021 and in Feb. 2022);
- Ariadne/Ariadne auf Naxos with Aix-En-Provence in Luxembourg with Katie Mitchell and Lawrence Renes (Apr. 2021);
- Leonore/Fidelio at Teatr Wielki in Warsaw (Oct. 2021);
- Sieglinde/Walküre at the Royal Danish Opera (Mar. 2022);

Her future engagements include (among others):

- A debut as Tosca at the Royal Danish Opera (April-May 2022);
- Isolde/Tristan und Isolde with the Philharmonic Orchestra in Taiwan (July 2022) and with Aix-En-Provence in Luxembourg (2023);
- a role debut as Judith/Bluebeard's Castle with Adam Fischer and the Dresden Philharmonic (November 2022), and with the Aarhus Symfoniorkester;
- Ariadne/Ariadne auf Naxos at the Royal Danish Opera.
- Sieglinde/Walküre at the NCPA Beijing.s

2019-2020
Highlights in 2019/2020 included Turandot ( her debût) with Alexander Verdernikov and Isolde/Tristan und Isolde with Lothar Königs at the Royal Danish Opera (2019), and a concert with Radio France de Paris “Wesendonc Lieder” and “Liebestod”. She also sang Isolde at La Monnaie de Bruxelles with Alain Altinoglu and Ralf Pleger (May 2019) as well as in Bologna (Jan. 2020, with Juraj Valcuha), as well as Leonore/Fidelio at the Royal Danish Opera (
Sept. 2020).
 

2017-2018
The highlights of 2017-2018 included Beethoven 9. Symph. in Tel Aviv (2018), Isolde/Tristan und Isolde in Kassel (2018), Ellen Orford/Peter Grimes in Monte Carlo with José Curâ ( 2018), Isolde/Tristan und Isolde at Opera de Lyon with Häenchen, and at the NCPA in Beijing, directed by Mariusz Trelinski ( 2017), “Vier Letzte Lieder” by R. with Orchestra National de Radio France Paris, Gala Concert at Bolshoi Theatre ( 2 act. Tannhäuser) and Minnie (her debût)/ Fanciulla del West in Copenhagen (2017).

2015-2016
Highlights in 2015/2016 included Elsa/Lohengrin in Hamburg conducted by Nagano, Freia/Das Rheingold at Semper Oper Dresden conducted by Thielemann, Senta/Der Fliegende Holländer in Copenhagen, debut as Salome also at the Royal Danish Opera in Stefan Herheims regie. Further engagements in 2015/2016 included the Marschallin/Der Rosenkavalier at Wiener Staatsoper conducted by Adam Fischer, Leonore/Fidelio in  Taiwan, Kaiserin/Frau ohne Schattenin at Copenhagen and Gutrune/Götterdämmerung at the Staatsoper Berlin conducted by Daniel Barenboim.

a Tribute Concert to Montserrat Caballé at Teatro Real de Madrid, Isolde/Tristan und Isolde at the Greek National
Opera in Athens and Elisabeth/Tannhäuser with Barenboim at Staatsoper Berlin. Highlights in the seasons of 2012/2013 and 2013/2014 included Elsa/Lohengrin at La Scala di Milano with
Barenboim and J. Kaufmann, Elisabeth/Tannhäuser with Barenboim at Staatsoper Berlin, Elisabeth/Tannhäuser in
