Benjamin Pope has conducted orchestras worldwide including the Royal Philharmonic, Philharmonia, and Hallé Orchestras, Dresden Staatskapelle, Orchestra of the Vienna Staatsoper, Dresden Philharmonic, Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields, Royal Scottish National Orchestra, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, Berlin Staatskapelle, Tokyo Philharmonic & Scottish Chamber Orchestras.

He has worked with orchestras and choirs including the Osaka Symphony, Düsseldorf Symphony, Luxembourg Philharmonic, Ulster Orchestra, Trondheim Symphony, Munich Symphony, Lahti Symphony, Iceland Symphony, Orchestras of  BBC (UK), RTÉ (Ireland), and ERT (Greece), Britten Sinfonia, Hong Kong Sinfonietta, Thessaloniki State Symphony touring Rachmaninov Symphony No 2,  Czech National Symphony; BBC Singers, City of London Choir, London Philharmonic Choir, Ex Cathedra, Flemish Radio Choir, Semperoper Chorus, Dresden,  Magma Choir Istanbul, Resurgam Dublin, Nidaros Domkor Norway, Coro Italiano as well as many other orchestras and choirs in the USA, Australia, Singapore, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, Italy, Portugal, France, Japan, Turkey, South Korea, Austria, Colombia, Chile and the Czech Republic. He has toured to Jamaica, Africa and the Gulf States with the Royal Philharmonic, and worldwide with The Royal Ballet.

A critically acclaimed conductor for dance, Benjamin Pope is highly in demand and has been invited to work with the many of the leading companies in houses such as the Vienna Staatsoper, The Royal Opera House Covent Garden, and Dresden Semperoper.

Benjamin Pope was named Music Consultant to Hong Kong Ballet in 2016, and Music Director of the Royal Ballet of Flanders in 2011, including appearances at La Fenice, Venice, at the Edinburgh International Festival, and conducting Britten for the centenary celebrations at the Aldeburgh Festival. Other invitations include New York City Ballet, Tokyo Ballet throughout Japan and touring to Australia, Deutsche Ballett am Rhein, Dutch National Ballet, Royal Swedish and Royal Danish Ballets, Finnish National Ballet, Staatsballett Berlin, Norwegian National Ballet, Scottish Ballet, English National Ballet, Basel Ballet, Pittsburgh Ballet Theater, Charlotte Ballet, Northern Ballet, State Ballet of Georgia, and Rambert Dance Company. He has a long association with Matthew Bourne, having conducted for his companies for over 25 years in many hundreds of performances in the UK, Far East and the USA. He is delighted to be returning as Principal Conductor for the 30th Anniversary run of the iconic Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake in London in 2024/25.

Benjamin Pope is a highly experienced conductor of live-to-projection film screenings with a large repertoire of titles performed in concert halls and large-scale arenas throughout the world, including the "Harry Potter in Concert" Series, "Amadeus", "Titanic", among many others. Recent highlights at the Royal Albert Hall, London include "Amadeus" with the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields, and the European premiere of "Elf in Concert". Benjamin Pope is authorised by John Williams to conduct the "Star Wars" series and to mentor other conductors seeking to become approved by Mr Williams, as well as being approved by Disney (recently conducting the "Disney 100 Celebration") and Warner Bros. He has huge experience as an MD in the recording studio and will be conducting the world premiere of "RRR In Concert" at the Royal Albert Hall in 2025.

Benjamin Pope is committed to music education – he was recently appointed as Music Director of The Classical Road Show, conducting their schools' concerts for massed children's choirs, professional soloists and orchestra, and for many years has been conductor for "RPO Resound", the Royal Philharmonic's education department, including their concert series Noisy Kids – as well as projects for Orchestras Live, which won a 2018 Royal Philharmonic Society award. He is also Artistic Director for the Barnardo's Young Supporters Concerts with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall with a massed choir for 1000 children which he also co-presents with Natasha Kaplinsky. He has worked with youth orchestras throughout the world, most recently with the Antigua and Barbuda Youth Symphony orchestra with cellist Sheku Kanneh-Mason. He also assisted Christopher Adey on his book, 'Orchestral Performance: A Guide for Conductors and Players' (Faber & Faber). He also mentors young conductors, and, as a postgraduate alumnus of the Royal College of Music, is proud to be invited back as a Guest Tutor for masterclass teaching on the Conducting Masters and Composition for Screen programmes.

His work as a composer, arranger and vocalist includes works for concert, stage and screen, including film scores and television recordings.
