Collenbusch Quartett

For a chamber music evening at Albrechtsberg Palace in Dresden in 2012, as part of the Dresden Philharmonic Chamber Concerts, orchestra members Cordula Fest (violin), Christiane Liskowsky (violin), Christina Biwank (viola) and Ulf Prelle (cello) came together for the first time as a string quartet.

The joy of this project and the good musical rapport led them to found the Collenbusch Quartet, under which the four Dresden Philharmonic musicians have been making music together ever since.

The ensemble is named after the Dresden art lover and patron Friedrich Adolph Collenbusch (1841-1921). The musical programs cover the entire range of quartet literature, including contemporary works.
