The Radost Praha children's choir was founded in 1961 by choirmaster Vladislav Souček. The children of Radosti have sung in more than twenty European countries, in 1994 and 1997 they visited Canada, and they regularly take part in international competitions (Bratislava, Cantonigròs, Celje, Kaunas, Limburg-Lindenholzhausen, Llangollen, Montreux, Neerpelt, Preveza, Rimini, Tours, Warsaw, etc.). The choir works with Czech Radio, Czech Television and the Prague State Opera, with major professional ensembles (Prague Symphony Orchestra FOK, Prague Philharmonic Choir, Kühn Mixed Choir, Czech Philharmonic Choir Brno, Sedláček Quartet, Stamic Quartet, Musica Bohemica, etc.) and with a number of popular personalities. ) and with a number of popular personalities (Vojtěch Dyk, Zdeněk Svěrák, Jaroslav Uhlíř, etc.), in recent years it has performed at the Bohuslav Martinů Days, Dvořák Prague, Prague Spring, Prague Autumn and Smetana Litomyšl. The ensemble's repertoire covers all stylistic periods and various musical genres, Radost Praha regularly premieres works by contemporary composers (Eliška Cílková, Emil Hradecký, Pavel Jurkovič, etc.) and participates in recordings.
