Samira Nasser completed her teacher training in music and mathematics at the Hochschule für Musik and the Technische Universität in Dresden. As part of her studies, she took on the musical direction of numerous opera, choir and orchestra projects. She received artistic impulses from Christian Kluttig, Gunter Berger, Claudia Schmidt-Krahmer and Olaf Katzer.
While still a student, the young conductor founded the Singasylum choir in 2015 together with other students, which she led artistically for six years and made known beyond Dresden's borders as a transcultural music project. In addition to her studies, she was engaged as a musical assistant to Milko Kersten and André Schmidt in choral projects of the Saxon Music Council and KlangNetz Dresden.
A semester abroad at the National Music Conservatory in Amman, Jordan gave Samira Nasser a deeper insight into Arabic musical culture. She also regularly performs in intercultural concert series together with musicians such as Bilal Irshed and his trio, Henrik Goldschmidt and Robert Matt.
Since 2020, Samira Nasser has led the preliminary classes of the Philharmonic Children's Choir Dresden and also works as a freelance choir director.
