Simone Henke

Simone Henke, producer and director of staged readings, began in the literary world by organizing readings with outstanding actors such as Klaus Maria Brandauer and Armin Mueller Stahl. Following her passion for literature and theater, she shifted her focus to the conception and realization of her own ideas. She transformed literary works with great actors into staged readings for entire acting ensembles, such as in her first own production “The Impossibles” or currently in “Monsters on the Couch”, as well as in staged musical readings such as Steinbeck's “Of Mice and Men” or Truman Capote's “Christmas Memories”. Some of these programs have been successfully performed for many years on German-speaking stages such as the Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Vienna Burgtheater or the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. In Dresden, she has graced many special venues in recent years and has given several guest performances at the Kulturpalast, the Staatsschauspiel and the Frauenkirche.
