Simone Henke, producer and director of staged readings, began her career in literature by organizing readings with outstanding actors such as Klaus Maria Brandauer and Armin Mueller-Stahl.
Following her passion for literature and theater, she shifted her focus to the conception and implementation of her own ideas. Since then, she has been working with great actors to transform literary works into staged readings for entire theater ensembles, for example in her first own production "Die Unmöglichen" (The Impossibles) or currently in "Monster auf der Couch" (Monster on the Couch). She also stages scenic musical readings such as John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" and Truman Capote's "Christmas Memories".
Some of these programs have been successfully touring German-speaking stages for many years, e. g., at the Friedrichstadtpalast Berlin, the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, the Burgtheater in Vienna, and the Gewandhaus in Leipzig. In Dresden, she has had the honor of working in many special venues in recent years and has made several guest appearances with her readings at the Kulturpalast, the Staatsschauspiel, and the Frauenkirche.
