About the Concert

This program leads to at least two highlights of German organ music: Johann Sebastian Bach is inconceivable without his works for the queen of instruments. And for Max Reger, the uncomfortable composer from the Upper Palatinate, who was either depressed or in high spirits, there was nothing greater than playing the organ. And to create works for it! We have invited the new organist of Dresden Cathedral, Sebastian Freitag, who knows both very well

Program

Johann Sebastian Bach
Chaconne in D minor (Arr. Arno Landmann)

Arno Landmann
Variations on a Theme by Händel

Max Reger
Introduction, Variations and Fugue on an original theme in F sharp minor

Contributer

Domorganist Sebastian Freitag
Organ
