About the Concert

Note: These concerts replace the concert series "Legends" and "Kid's Night", which were originally supposed to take place as part of the Film Nights at the Elbe River.<br><br>An evening with the classics of film music that brings to life the worlds of Harry Potter, Gladiator, Batman, Indiana Jones, and Game of Thrones. The focus is on the compositions of Hans Zimmer and John Williams - arguably the greatest masters of their craft. The audience votes during the concert on which music delivers the biggest goosebumps moments. After the concert, the lounge and drinks invite you to linger and end the evening in a summery atmosphere. A highlight for film fans and lovers of great melodies. <br><br>Suitable for children aged 5 and above.

Benjamin Pope

Conductor

Conductor, composer and arranger Benjamin Pope has already conducted in concert halls and opera houses around the world. He specializes in ballet and dance music, as well as live accompaniment of films and film sequences. John Williams and Disney have officially recognized him as the conductor of the iconic "Star Wars" music. He is also committed to music education, including as principal conductor of the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's education program "RPO Resound".

Tom Wlaschiha

Theatre and film actor, as well as voice actor, Tom Wlaschiha can be heard here as the narrator of the German translation of Europa's Dogs. He became internationally famous after being cast as Jaqen H'ghar in the HBO hit series Game of Thrones. He most recently appeared at the Kulturpalast as the presenter of “Blockbuster Battle” with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.
