Maxim Emelyanychev

"He is dynamic, energetic and exciting to watch, exhilarating for musicians and audiences alike," wrote The Guardian about the Russian conductor Maxim Emelyanchev, who is making his debut with the Dresden Philharmonic. Now in his mid-thirties, he reached the first major European stages in 2013 and went on several international tours with the ensemble Il pomo d'oro and Joyce DiDonato from 2016. He has been Chief Conductor of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra since 2019.

Lukáš Vondrácek

Since his overwhelming victory at the Concours Reine Elisabeth in Brussels in 2016, Czech pianist Lukáš Vondráček has performed with the leading orchestras in Europe, Asia, Australia and North America. Recitals have also taken him to venues including the Elbphilharmonie in Hamburg, the Flagey in Brussels, the Gewandhaus in Leipzig, the Konzerthaus in Vienna and the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. His playing is characterised by a natural and confident musicality and a remarkable technique.
