The musicians of the Agustin Quartet were formed from the ranks of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra and are committed to transferring their joy of music-making, coupled with their own high tonal standards, to the field of chamber music. The string quartet's credo is lively playing and a rousing fullness of sound for the enjoyment of the audience, and they also like to open themselves up to new impulses and influences in dialogue with the audience. The musicians each own an instrument by the renowned violin maker Agustin Rosso (Mendoza/Argentina) and have named themselves after him in his honour.
