Annalena Kott (née Kohde) was born in Öhringen. After her junior studies at the Würzburg University of Music, she began her artistic instrumental studies there with Prof. Herwig Zack. She then switched to the class of Prof. Tobias Feldmann, with whom she is currently rounding off her musical education with a master class at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater "Felix Mendelssohn- Bartholdy" in Leipzig.
She received further artistic impulses through master classes with Prof. Pierre Amoyal, Veronika Eberle and Suyoen Kim (Artemis Quartet). She was supported as a scholarship holder of the Deutschlandstipendium, the cultural scholarship of the city of Heilbronn and Live Music Now.
She gained orchestral experience at an early age in the Bundesjugendorchester and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie, and as an academist with the Staatskapelle Weimar and the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
From 2019 to 2021, she was engaged on a temporary contract with the Gewandhausorchester Leipzig.
Numerous substitute engagements take her throughout Germany to orchestras such as the hr Symphony Orchestra and the MDR Symphony Orchestra, among others.
She is also involved as a lecturer with the Rhineland-Palatinate State Youth Orchestra.
Since 2021 she is a member of the 2nd violin section of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.
