Björn Kadenbach received his first trumpet lessons at the Kreismusikschule Helmstedt. He began his professional training as a junior student with Prof Matthias Höfs, with whom he then began his regular studies.
A year of study abroad as part of the Erasmus programme took him to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London and the Oslo Academy of Music. He also owes important artistic inspiration to Tobias Füller and Malte Burba. He also completed a degree in music education.
He was supported by the Masefield Scholarship from the Alfred Toepfer Foundation F.V.S. and a scholarship from the Oscar and Vera Ritter Foundation.
Following engagements with the Bremen Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonic Orchestra of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck, Björn Kadenbach has been a member of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra since 2011.
In 2020, he was appointed full professor at the Dresden University of Music. Since then, he has been responsible for the training of trumpet students with an artistic and pedagogical focus.
