Christiane Liskowsky received her first violin lessons in Dresden at the age of seven and began her training in 1988 at the special school of the Carl Maria von Weber Academy of Music in Dresden. She participated very successfully several times in the national competition "Jugend musiziert" and played in the national youth orchestra.
In 1994 she founded the Young Dresden Piano Trio. From 1995 she studied at the Dresden Academy of Music with Reinhard Ulbricht. She attended master classes with Igor Ozim and Christoph Schickedanz, among others. This was followed by postgraduate studies at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester with Yossi Zivoni and with Matthias Wollong in Dresden.
Since 2004 she has been playing in the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra. She also plays chamber music in various ensembles - since 2012 as second violinist in the Collenbusch Quartet.
