Gabriela Vermelho is a violinist, violist, quintonist (quinton = a hybrid between the viola da gamba and the violin), singer, songwriter, actress, music experimenter and works in the fields of classical music, chanson, jazz and alternative rock. She likes to combine all possible music styles. She is an excellent interpreter of contemporary music, an inventive jazz player, an extravagant instrumentalist who is familiarizing herself with alternative and even pop music.
In 2013, she founded her music group GaRe, with which she focuses exclusively on author music on the border between chanson, alternative, folklore inspiration and musical experiment. She is a member of the Gadrew Way String Quartet. For this ensemble, she creates musical arrangements of cover songs and writes her own compositions. She performs solo, but also with leading artists of today's music generation. In 2005, she won the Alfred Radok Theater Prize.
