Heiko Triebener

Heiko Triebener was born in Berlin in 1964 and grew up in Tübingen, where he graduated from high school in 1983 and then went on to study musicology. He took private tuba lessons from Robert Tucci, who was principal tuba player at the Bavarian State Opera back then. From 1984 to 1985 Heiko Triebener did his military service in the Air Force Music Corps 1 in Neubiberg near Munich. From 1984 to 1986 he was a tuba player in the then Saarbrücken Radio Symphony Orchestra, from 1987 to 1993 with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn and since 1993 he has been a member of the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, where he is also involved in music education.

Since 2011, the internationally successful soloist and lecturer has appeared in cabaret shows with actor Martin Neubauer of the Brentano Theater Bamberg, and since 2012 he has held a teaching position for tuba at the Würzburg University of Music.

Heiko Triebener is a founding member of the Melton Tuba Quartett and plays in a Bamberg Symphony wind quintet.
