Iris Geißler studied as répétiteur and pianist at the University of Music "Carl Maria von Weber" in Dresden. At the same time, she began working as a répétiteur with the Dresden Philharmonic Choir. After graduating, she taught piano accompaniment and coaching for several years at the University of Music "Carl Maria von Weber".
She has been conducting the Dresden Philharmonic Choir since October 2022, is the musical assistant to the choir director Gunter Berger, and the stage manager of the Philharmonic Children's Choir. In addition, she teaches piano, is active as a singer in various ensembles and as a choir director of other choirs. She has already taken over rehearsals and piano accompaniment for the Dresden University Choir, the Leipzig Oratorio Choir, the Dresden Motet Choir and the Saxon Vocal Ensemble Dresden, among others.
