Miguel Conde Calvo

Trumpet

Miguel Conde, born in Illescas (Toledo), began his music studies at the Fundación Musical Manuel de Falla school in his home town. After studying at the Conservatorio Profesional de Música de Getafe, he began his Bachelor's degree at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Castilla y León (COSCYL) under the direction of Roberto Bodí in 2018. And since 2022 he has been studying his Master's degree at the Folkwang University of the Arts in Eseesn in the class of Professor Laura Vukobratovic.

During his career, Miguel has played with professional orchestras such as the Mahler Chamber Orchestra, the Orquesta Nacional de España (ONE), the Orquesta Sinfónica de Castilla y León (OSCYL), the Banda Sinfónica Municipal de Madrid (BSMM) or the Philharmonisches Orchester Hagen. He is also a member of youth orchestras such as the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE), the Verbier Festival Orchestra (VFO), the Académie du Festival d'Aix-en-Provence and the Joven Orquesta de Extremadura (OJEX). He has also received awards such as first prize at the Maspalomas International Trumpet Competition in 2018 or second prize at the "Valeriano Machí Esparza" trumpet competition in Benimodo (Valencia) in 2021. He has also received masterclasses from trumpeters such as Reinhold Friedrich, Esteban Batallán, Frits Damrow, Eric Aubier, Jeroen Berwaerts, Gábor Tarkövi, Miroslav Petkov, Marco Blaaw, Manuel Blanco or Luis González and others.

Miguel Conde did orchestral practice with the Dortmund Philharmonic Orchestra in the 2023 season and has been a member of the Kurt Masur Academy - Orchestra Academy of the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra since March 2024.
