Ronald Zehrfeld began his cinematic career in Dresden in the film “Der rote Kakadu”. He is known from notable productions such as “Barbara”, “Der Staat gegen Fritz Bauer”, “Im Angesicht des Verbrechens”, “Weissensee” or “Babylon Berlin”. He also appeared for many years as private investigator Georg Dengler in the series of the same name.
Winner of two Grimme Awards, the German Film Award and the German Television Award, Ronald Zehrfeld is one of the country's most famous actors. In 2024, he appeared in the successful film productions “Sterben” (Dying) and as Max Frisch in “Ingeborg Bachmann – Journey to the Desert”.
Ronald Zehrfeld lives in Berlin and has a daughter. In Dresden, Ronald Zehrfeld will be appearing on stage in Charles Dickens' “A Christmas Carol” from December 2025, alongside Ulrich Noethen, among others; they have already appeared together in leading roles in films such as Das unsichtbare Mädchen" (The Invisible Girl) oder "Die Unsichtbare"(The Invisible Woman).
