Upclose

... to the orchestra, to the music, to our sound - and conversely, closer to the audience, to the city, to the issues that concern us all. The motto of our new concert season combines our goal of being the best host in Dresden with the conviction that the quality of the Dresden Philharmonic is many-faceted.

Better perfect than good

The unforgettable happens when everything fits. The music first, of course. But for us, a successful concert evening is more than just good music. Our friendly staff at the entrance are just as much a part of an all-round enjoyable experience as perfect catering. It also includes a feel-good moment in the concert hall and a comfortable journey.

The eyes listen too

Perfect sound comes from perfect playing. On the one hand. But it also requires the perfect acoustical environment. Our concert hall is like a Stradivarius for a violinist, as Anne-Sophie Mutter once said and a real experience for the ears and eyes of the audience.

We can't transfer the sound to digital, but you're welcome to take a look inside: Go to the 360° panoramic view. Go to the 360° panoramic view.

We live passion

The focus is on music, of course. But our passion goes even further. You can get to know the Dresden Philharmonic even better in concert introductions, behind-the-scenes looks, guided tours and lounge talks.

The future starts now

Sound is created in the here and now. And so that it can continue to be created in the future, we invite highly talented young musicians to make music with us in our Kurt Masur Academy and prepare for a professional career in the orchestra. By the way, our Academy members can also be heard in selected chamber concerts.
