- Principal E-flat Clarinet (German system, 100 %) | Application deadline: September 7, 2025, Auditions: October 13 & 14, 2025.

- Assistant Principal Bass Trombone (100 %) | Application deadline: May 11, 2025, Auditions: June 17, 2025.

- Cello (tutti) (100 %) | Application deadline: April 22, 2025, Auditions: May 22, 2025.

- 2nd Trombone (100 %) | Application deadline: January 31, 2026, Auditions: March 13, 2026.

Kurt Masur Academy

The training takes place in cooperation with the Hochschule für Musik Carl Maria von Weber Dresden in a four-semester, advanced master's programme with a focus on orchestral practice. Training salary 1.100 € (gross) per month, orchestral studies and up to 16 orchestral practical exercises per month with the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra.
