About the Concert

An evil wizard, a good prince, and a fantastic bird with magical powers - best ingredients for an exciting fairy tale, for which the Russian composer Igor Stravinsky has composed fascinating music. Originally written for ballet, it is now mostly performed as pure orchestral music in the concert hall. An invitation to sit back and vividly imagine the dancing figures with the shimmering sounds, effective combinations of glockenspiel, strings, and winds, and the rich array of colors!
