Daniel Haupt

Daniel Haupt studied flute at the Leipzig University of Music and Drama and at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. After graduating, he was engaged as principal piccolo flutist of the Staatskapelle Halle (Saale) and as deputy principal flutist of the Loh-Orchester Sondershausen/Theater Nordhausen. Concert tours have taken him to numerous cities in Germany, including the Berlin Philharmonie, the Konzerthaus Berlin, the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Glocke Bremen, the Laeiszhalle Hamburg, the Alte Oper Frankfurt, the Meistersingerhalle Nuremberg, the Musikverein Vienna in Austria, and to England, Denmark and Japan. He has been invited by several orchestras, including the Bachorchester of the Gewandhaus Leipzig, the Klassische Philharmonie Bonn, the Anhaltische Philharmonie Dessau, the Thüringer Symphoniker Saalfeld-Rudolstadt, the Mitteldeutsches Kammerorchester, and the Ensemble Avantgarde.

Daniel Haupt was already involved in the field of music education during his studies. He held teaching positions at the Institute for Music Education at Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg, at the music department of the Landesgymnasium Latina A. H. Francke in Halle and at various music schools in central Germany.

He also completed a degree in cultural and media management at the Hamburg University of Music and Drama. Before working as a music educator at the Dresden Philharmonic Orchestra, Daniel Haupt was head of event management and concert planning at the Kreuzkirche Dresden for several years.
