About the Concert

Beethoven's Seventh Symphony is one of his most energetic works and is entirely driven by rhythm: Few other orchestral pieces convey such a sense of movement. The solemn beginning builds step by step into a captivating sound dynamic. The second movement is particularly well-known, with its calm, compelling character that immediately captivates many listeners. Despite personal crises, Beethoven composed music here that is full of strength and confidence. Contemporaries were so enthusiastic that individual movements had to be repeated immediately. To this day, the symphony is regarded as a work that goes straight to the ear and the legs.

At our abgeFRACKt concerts, things are a bit different: The orchestra does not wear tails on stage. No one needs to fear clapping at the wrong moment.
Those who wish to learn more about the music can download the free Wolfgang app onto their smartphone and receive live explanations about the work during the concert. Afterwards, we invite you to stay and enjoy the abgeFRACKt cocktail (also non-alcoholic), the house lemonade, a glass of wine or beer at the café "Tutti", relax, and chat with the musicians of the orchestra.
